On a beautiful summer day, 47 players battled a well-conditioned course.  Randy Cree’s team won the Front (-1) and Total (Even).  Randy was a recent graduate of our Captain’s Picking School, and although he barely passed the school with a C- grade, his picks were golden today!  Mex Sanchez’s team won the Back (Even).  Randy Cree (72, 5 birdies) and Mex Sanchez (72, 3 birdies) led the individual scoring.  Jim Young also continued his fine play with a 74 and 5 birdies.

12 players braved the solar eclipse today.  Jim Young’s team and Mike Butts’ team both split the money with -8 total.  Jim Young led the Sub-80 scoring with a round of 70 and 6 birdies.  Mike Butts shot a 73 and eagled hole 18.  Hawk (74), Max Tissue (75) and Don Baker (78) all had solid rounds.  And watch out … Chris Rhodes (77) found his driver again – we predict he will be in the Captain’s Room within 2 weeks!

32 players squared off on a hot, humid and sometimes rainy afternoon.  The “team” money was split up between Steve Ligi (Front -4), Hawk (Back -3) and Dirk Schultz (Total -4).  There were several good and interesting rounds today.  Dirk Schultz led the individual scoring with a 70 (6 birdies).  Tim Steiner shot a solid 72.  Charlie “Hawk” Hawkins shot 77 with sides of 44 and 33!  Mex Sanchez had a nice bounce-back round of 73 and 4 birdies today (after the course got him on Wednesday). Ed Rachor shot 78 with 4 birdies.  And last but not least, Mike Butts continued his hot play with a 75.
