Fifteen (15) golfers managed to get a “bonus round” in today before “The Big Kahuna” snow storm hits tomorrow!  Greens were rolling smooth, but semi-frozen conditions made the early holes “tricky” on approach shots.  Dirk Schultz’s team won the Front (-4) and Total (-2).  Pat Steiner’s team made a “Mex-like comeback” from a bad front nine to win the Back Nine (-2).  Dirk Schultz (72), Rod Steiner (76) and Pat Steiner (77) were the low rounds of the day.

TJ Jones is holding on to 1st Place in the Governor’s Cup 3 Standings.  April 1st will be the final round for counting points in the Governor’s Cup 3.  The Top-48 positions automatically qualify.  The tournament will be held around mid-April.

Twenty-one (21) golfers battled cold weather and steady winds today.  The greens were freshly mowed and rolled making them very tricky in the windy conditions.  Mex Sanchez’s team had a rough start on the Back Nine today, but turned it around to win the Front (+1).  Jim Young’s team won the Back (+1) and Total (+3).  Jim Young (74) and Bill Kushay (74) tied for low individual rounds today.

Today was Presidents’ Day, so The Governor was on “holiday” 🙂      As a result, TJ Jones picked up a “clear” and moved back into first place in the Governor’s Cup 3 standings!

After a 7-day “snow” layoff, twenty-nine (29) players played a modified 9-hole course twice today (Par 70).  Pat Steiner’s team won the Front (-7) and Total (-8).  Bill Kushay’s team won the Back (-4).  Dave Freiss (65, 7 birdies), Bill Reed (68), DIrk Schultz (68), Bill Kushay (70) and Mick Billmeyer (70) led the individual scoring today.

The Governor leaped back into 1st Place today in the Governor’s Cup 3 standings with six (6) weeks remaining … April 1st in the cutoff and the tournament will be played mid-to-late April (TBD).

Twenty-one golfers played on a wet course today (nothing new!).  The rain held off and the temperatures were nice (upper 40s).  Chris Bushey’s team dominated most of the action winning the Front (-2) and Total (-2).  Pat Steiner’s team tied Bushey’s team for the Back (Even).  Chris Bushey (67, 6 birdies) and Dirk Schultz (69, 5 birdies) led the individual scoring today.

It was “Mess With The Governor” day today!  Thirteen (13) players battled on frozen grounds, temps in the low 30’s, and some snow on the last several holes.  Rod Steiner’s team won the Front (+2).  Justin Case’s team won the Back (+2) and tied the Total (+7) with Dirk Schultz’s team.  Pat Steiner (74, 3 birdies), Rod Steiner (77) and TJ Jones (79) were the only players to shoot in the 70’s today.
