Thirty-nine (39) golfers enjoyed a beautiful Winter day at The Beav – temps in the upper 50’s and very little wind. Bobby (Mex) Sanchez’s team swept the field with an amazing -7, -5 (-12 Total)! Several other teams played well but were basically playing for 2nd and 3rd place today. Ed Middlekauff (71), Steve Parrotte Jr (72), Pat Steiner (73), Mex Sanchez (73) and Rich Rostek (73) led sixteen (16) golfers in the Sub 80 category today.

Dr. Smirnoff (75) beats his “CMA” Captain Jim Young by 3 shots straight up today! Mel Man had as many pars as CMA Jim Young today! But Jim did birdie the 19th Hole today!
Rumor has it that Jim Young (who just graduated from the Charlie Hawkins School of Handicap Manipulation) is positioning himself for a prime picking spot in the Governor’s Cup.
The Crainium (a.k.a. Dr. Jamison) had another fine round today from the White Tees. He’s a legitimate “B” player and working towards the Captain’s Room.
Justin Case “double-eagled” the 19th Hole today with a huge KENO payout!
Many of the golfers like to bet a “Quinella” (RaceTrax) based on the score they shot … for example, shoot 73 … bet the “7” and “3” horses. Someone said today that Jim Beatty can’t do that because there is no “13” horse!
