It was another exciting WACO – especially in the Championship Flight. Evan Santa (-6) edged out Chuck Thatcher (-5). It basically came down to the last strokes for each player. Santa held a 1-stroke lead heading into Hole 18. His birdie putt from above the hole went to the lower fringe about 13 feet away. Thatcher’s birdie effort from about 15 feet hung on the edge of the hole but would not drop! Santa, needing to make his 13-footer for the win, converted his par putt and won the 2018 WACO!
