After the course received heavy rains on Friday Saturday evenings, the WHITE TEE course played a little longer than normal! The Senior Club Championship is a 2-day medal play event.
On Saturday, Kenny Winfield shot 72 and held a one shot lead over Greg Henry (73). Randy Barnes (74) was two shots back, while Denny Stoner (75) and Rob Turano (75) were three shots behind.
On Sunday, the leaders played a couple shots over par on the Front Nine while Jim Young shot even par 36 to get back into the mix. Bogeys on holes 10 and 11 took Jim out of contention. However, Brian Crabtree birdied 10 and 15 to climb within 1 shot of the leaders (Winfield and Barnes). With 2 holes to play, Winfield and Barnes were tied at +5 while Brian Crabtree had moved to within one shot of the leaders at +6.
Crabtree and Barnes parred #17 while Winfield bogeyed to fall one stroke behind Barnes going into the final hole. Barnes birdied the final hole, Winfield parred it, and Crabtree bogeyed it. The Top three finished: Barnes (+4), Winfield (+6) and Crabtree (+7).
