Eighteen (18) golfers played through another hot, humid day! Pat Steiner’s team got the “sweep” with Even, -6 and -6 Total. Teammates Pat Steiner (75) and Charlie Hawkins (75) led the scoring today. TJ Jones missed a 6-inch putt today! He will be contacting Bill Kushay to see if he can contribute to Bill’s latest book “100 Ways To Miss Extremely Short Putts”.
Following today’s scores (below), there is a listing of the Top 100 in Governor’s Cup 2 Standings. We will take the Top 48 based on points, but you must meet the 10 round minimum criteria. There are currently 2 players in the Top 48 who have less than 10 rounds, so if the points were as of today, the Top 50 would basically be eligible (less 2 people not meeting the 10 round minimum). Since not everyone will be able to make the date, we continue down the list until we have 48 people “commit” by paying their $20 entry in advance. Here are the key dates for Governor’s Cup 2:
*** Tournament Date: Thursday, September 27, 2018 (11:30 check-in time)
*** Statistics/Points will be frozen after Friday September 14, 2018. Anyone who automatically qualifies has 1 week (9/21/2018) to “commit” by paying their entry. After 9/21/2018, we will go down the list to continue filling up the spots until we get 48 players.
*** You should have six (6) more opportunities to improve your points position: Fri 9/7, Mon 9/10, Tue 9/11, Wed 9/12 (@ WCC), Thur 9/13 and Fri 9/14.
