Forty-two (42) players enjoyed a beautiful Spring day with temps in the 70’s. Pat Steiner’s team won the Front (-6) and Total (-3). Ira Pearlman’s team won the Back (-4). The lowest rounds of the day were Pat Steiner (72), Ira Pearlman (74) and Jim Sklencar (75).
AROUND THE HORN:
> After getting shutout on team money his last five times, The Governor (Pat Steiner) and his teammates Tom Trumpower and Don Baker rode a hot front nine (-6) and was able to hang on to win the total. The Governor is still tweaking his alcohol-to-air mixture but it got a little too rich on the last few holes today!
> Max Tissue continues to pump his handicap to the point where he might be leaving the Captains’ Room soon! He needs to turn it around as the early Vegas betting lines had Max’s team as the favorite going into the Governor’s Cup tournament on May 15th.
> John Hersh had a solid 80 today – only his second round of the year at The Beav this year!
> Jeff Foster broke out of his season-long slump and shot 79 today!
> Young Bill Young shot a solid 78 with 3 birdies in his second round at The Beav this year!
