Fifty-nine (59) golfers enjoyed a warm Spring day. The greens were more receptive after some good showers last night! Pat Steiner’s team won the Front (-2). Jim Young’s team won the Back (-6) and Total (-6). Denny Stoner (73), Dirk Schultz (73) and Jim Young (74) led the scoring today.
AROUND THE HORN:
> Dr. Smirnoff made a large contribution to the winning team today with a solid 82 and 2 birdies. He was pain-free today (maybe thanks to the Vodka?) and could have shot 74 and 6 birdies! He announced a standing bet after the round: He will bet $10 straight-up against ANY “B” or “C” player in the field (and you must put every ball in the hole!). > Jim Sklencar misread some key words in Chapter 2 of Jim Young’s “Handicap Manipulation” book. It was in regards to “when to make a triple bogey” … when your team doesn’t need your ball. However, Jim missed the final part of that sentence, and his triple bogey had to be counted towards the team score today! Please pay attention to details 🙂
