The first ever Governor’s Cup was held at Beaver Creek Country Club today (5/15/2018). Forty-eight (48) players enjoyed a warm Spring day with temperatures in the upper 80’s, high humidity, and winds which increased steadily as the day progressed. The greens were in good shape, the course played long due to the heavy rains overnight, and the rough was thick and juicy!
Bill Kushay’s team won the Front (-4). Randy Cree and Dirk Schultz’s teams split the Back (-5). Dirk’s team won the Total (-7). Dirk Schultz (69, 6 birdies) and Chris Bushey (69 including an eagle) led the scoring today. Points earned today do not count towards Governor’s Cup #2, which commenced on May 1st and will be played through October 1, 2018.
Thank you all for participating and playing through some tough Winter conditions over the past few months. There were so many days where the temperatures were in the 20’s with winds 20+ mph, but we had a tough, loyal group who battled through it!
