Thirty-eight (38) players enjoyed an incredible day – nearly 70 degrees and low winds.  The scores were very good in general.  Bryan Hartman’s team won the Front (-3).  Bill Kushay’s team won the Back (-3).  Randy Cree’s “threesome” won the Total (-4).  Bryan Hartman (72) was medalist today.  Bill Kushay (73), Pat Steiner (73) and Billy Reed (73) followed closely as a total of 20 players were in the Sub-80 category today.

The weather looks marginal tomorrow as the rain storm is predicted to move across Pennsylvania and we are on the southern edge.  If the storm hits us, it currently doesn’t look too bad and it should be gone between 11:00am and 12:00pm.

There was a lot of action at The Beav today.  Thirty-four (34) players played on a mild Winter day with moderate winds.  The course was still on the wet side and played long today.  Pat Steiner’s team won the Front (-2) and Total (-6).  Pat’s team played a bogey-free round which we believe is a first time happening in the WWFF Gang.  Mex Sanchez’s team won the Back (-5) aided by Max Tissue’s Hole-In-One on #17, Justin Case’s birdie and Mex Sanchez’s par, which allowed the threesome to play #17 at 4-under par!  Pat Steiner (72) and Zack Attack (72) led the scoring today.  Hawk shot 73 with 5 birdies!  A total of 16 players were in the Sub-80 category today.   Zack Attack will be attending the Captain’s Picking School – the next scheduled class is Monday, 2/19/2018 at 4:00am (morning).

Nine (9) players enjoyed another beautiful Winter day.  Pat Steiner’s team brought out the broom and swept away the competition today (-2, Even, -2).  Pat’s threesome happened to have the three lowest scores of the day also (Pat-76, Greg Deck 78 and Dixie McNaney 79).  Rod Steiner was the only other player to shoot in the 70’s today (79).

It was a relatively warm day at The Beav.  Greens were soft.  The course was wet and played very long.  Bobby (Mex) Sanchez’s team won the Front (+1) and Total (+7).  Pat Steiner’s team won the Back (+2).  All four teams were separated by a total of 2 strokes!  Mex Sanchez was medalist with a 76.

2-Ball Gross (Terrific Tuesday) will pick-up at 11:30am tomorrow, Tuesday 2/13/2018. On Wednesday and Thursday, the pickup time will be back to 10:30am.

Twenty-two (22) players enjoyed a mild Winter day with temps in the 40’s and overcast skies.  Pat Steiner’s team narrowly edged most of the competition winning the Front (-1), the Total (-1), and a 3-way tie for the Back (Even) with Jim Young and Rod Steiner’s teams.  Pat Steiner and Charlie Hawkins were the medalists today with 75.

The weather forecast looks questionable for golf over the next several days.  We will keep you posted.  On the positive side, only 4 more weeks until March 1st!!!!

Twelve (12) players battled a frozen course on a mild Winter day.  The story of the day was Greg Deck, who was snubbed by Jim Young in the picks today.  Greg made six huge putts and could be heard saying “Take that Jim Young!” every time!!!   Zack Attack and Pat Steiner’s teams tied the Front (+1).  Pat’s team won the Back (-1) and Total (Even).  Jim Young (72) was medalist today, followed by Pat Steiner (73), Rod Steiner (75), Greg Deck (78) and Zack Attack (78).  Jim Young was wishing that Dr. Smirnoff was not on sabbatical today!  Zack Attack was threatening to sue Dr. Smirnoff for “malpractice” on the Emergency-9 from Monday!!!

Tomorrow’s 2-Ball Gross Gang will pickup at 10:30am and shotgun start at 11:00am. The forecasted rain will not begin until 4:00pm. This might be the last good day for a week or so based upon the 15-day forecast!

Twenty-none (29) golfers enjoyed a mild Winter day.  Zack Attack and Bernie Deane’s teams tied the Front (-2).  Bernie’s team won the Back (-4) and Total (-6).  83-year old Charlie Hawkins was the medalist today with a 74 … and moved up several spots into The Governor’s Cup with a huge day!  Bernie Deane and Mex Sanchez both shot 75’s.  Dr. Smirnoff announced that he needs to take a 2-week sabbatical to get board certified … he was about to lose his malpractice insurance also!

We are hoping for a light dusting (or no snow) tomorrow, which should allow us to play Wednesday.  We will keep you posted 🙂
