The beautiful weather continues at Beaver Creek. 58 players were in the field as Brian Crabtree’s team (-2  E  -2) dominated the action, tying the Front and winning the Total. The Front (-2) was split 3-ways between Brian Crabtree, Caleb Hudlow and Chris Cantone’s teams. The Back (-2) was split between Pat Steiner and Randy Cree’s team.  Bill Kushay (36-38-74) led the “Sub-80 Scoring”, as 18 golfers were in that group.

Another “bonus day” of golf in winter as the conditions were beautiful. 39 players enjoyed the golf. Rod Steiner’s team (-1 -3 -4) won the Back and Total. The Front (-2) was tied between Dan Allen’s team (-2 +3 +1) and Jim Young’s team (-2  +2  E). Walnut Towers would be proud of the two 79-year old boys who led the “Sub-80 Scoring”. Oaks (40-36-76) with 3 birdies, and Max Tissue (38-38-76) led 12 golfers in that group. Their rocking chairs will be going “full tilt” tonight.

Another great day at The Creek … sunny, breezy and 50 degrees.  The greens were crisp, smooth and sometimes treacherous!

Eight (8) players played a modified “gross ball” game.  There were four 2-player teams.  Only 1-ball was needed on Par 4s.  2-balls were required on Par 3s and Par 5s.   Mex Sanchez and Vic Campbell dominated the action by winning the Front (Even), splitting the Back (Even), and winning the Total (Even).  Tim Steiner and Dixie McNaney tied the Back (Even).

After a cold start with semi-frozen greens, the sun and temps warmed up for a pleasant round of golf. Mex Sanchez’ team (-1  -1  -2) was steady and tied the Front and won the Total. Randy Cree’s team (+4  -3  +1) easily won the Back. Tim Steiner (34-38-72) led 7 golfers in ths “Sub-80 scoring”. Jim Young picked up another 2 clears (#13 & #17) and has a strangle-hold on the yearly totals.

   Strong steady winds could have made scores inflated, but several golfers were able to negotiate and score well. 15 players made up 5 threesomes in today’s action.
Jim Young (36-38-74) had 3 birdies to lead his team to wins on the Back and Total, and tied the Front. On Hole #9, they had 2 birdies and a par for (-3) to spark their comeback. Tink Moats added 4 birdies and Vic Campbell had 1 birdie and their threesome had 8 birdies in all.
Randy Cree’s team (-1 +6 +5) tied the Front as 3 putts in the 20-foot range, were made for pars on Hole #7 for a “bonus ball”.
Young led the “Sub-80” scoring as 7 players broke 80.
