  This par 4 is straightforward. The fairway landing area is generous and the trees are not in play as much on this hole. The green is relatively flat.

  Hole 2 Par 5

  This par 5 is the twisted-sister of hole number 11. Trees are left and right on your drive. The second shot must be played high and to the right since everything bounces left severely on this sloped fairway. The green is turtle-backed and has a fair amount of slope. The green is well-bunkered and out-of-bounds runs the length of the hole on the right. The 11th green is the highest elevation on the course. Beautiful views of the Western Maryland mountains and valley can be seen from here.

  Hole 3 Par 4

  This par 4 is a dog-leg left and has dense trees on the left side of the fairway. The trees on the right aren’t much better! The elevated green has a fair amount of slope … you will end up with many side-hill and downhill putts on this green, just like hole number 14.

  This par 4 appears easy and straightforward. The fairway landing area is generous and the trees are not in play as much on this hole.The green is relatively flat. But be careful – this hole has a tendency to sneak-up on you!

  This par 3 is like hole number 4 in that it looks easy but sometimes it gets you! The green is mostly flat… one of the few at Beaver Creek.

  This par 5 is the shortest one and is reachable in two with a good drive. The fairway dips into a valley, so a good tee shot might only leave you 170 yards out. You’re better missing the tee shot a little left instead of right. It gives you a better approach angle and avoids the trees on the right! Some well placed trees and bunkers help guard this otherwise vulnerable green.

  Hole 7 Par 3

  This par 3 is long! The tee shot is elevated over a valley to an elevated green. Anything short will stop on the uphill apron unless you fly your shot to the green – in which case it is hard to hold the shot on the green. The green has a lot of slope on the back-right portion of the green. Check the pin location and make sure your “miss” is on the opposite side of the flag/pin!

  This par 4 offers a very narrow landing area with water/swamp on the right and dense pine trees on the left. The green is elevated and has a fair amount of slope. Like hole 7, you have to fly the shot to the green or it comes up short, although short is better than left or right if you’re going to miss the green!

  This par 4 is not very long, but the sharp dog-leg left doesn’t let you cheat much either! A well placed tee shot will leave you an approach shot of 150 yards or less. You have to carry a lake to a green that has a deceiving amount of slope.

  This is a slight dog-leg left. The fairway is adequately wide, but it is heavily lined with white pines. The green is well-bunkered and elevated. A par on this hole is excellent!

  The fairway is wide, but it is heavily lined with white pines on the right and out-of-bounds on the left. It slopes to the right, making the second shot (lay-up) even more difficult. Few people ever get on this green in 2 shots. This green is also well-bunkered and elevated. Good luck!

  The elevated tee box can make club selection difficult, particularly on a windy day. The green appears flat but has a subtle break away from the mountain (according to local knowledge).

  This short par 4 requires a well placed tee shot, ideally on the left side of the fairway. A large tree blocks shots that are low and to the right-side of the green (which is where you need to aim your approach shot). The green has a lot of slope and many difficult pin placements are possible.

  This par 4 is a dog-leg left and one of the most difficult on the course. Big hitters can’t get any advantage on this hole and may have to hit a lay-up shot. Approach shots are usually between 160 and 200 yards away from the green. The green extremely well-bunkered and rolls away on all four sides.

  You can safely miss your tee shot to the right side on this hole. The left side has dense pine trees and borders the driving range. Big hitters can reach this hole in two shots, but the green is protected with bunkers and some trees. The green has a subtle slope and downhill putts and chips are deceptively quick.
